How Society99 protects and manages your personal and society billing data

1. Information We Collect

To provide society management services, we collect user details such as Secretary and Resident names, mobile numbers (used exclusively for login verification), email addresses, flat numbers, and payment reference numbers. We do not store credit card/debit card details on our servers; all payment transactions are routed securely.

2. Security of Personal Information (Section 43A IT Act)

In compliance with Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, we maintain reasonable security practices and procedures to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of your data:

  • All passwords are encrypted using secure cryptographic hashing algorithms before being stored.
  • Data transmission between your browser and our servers is secured using SSL/TLS encryption.
  • Access to the society administration panel is restricted to authorized personnel using role-based access control.

3. Non-Disclosure Commitment (Section 72A IT Act)

We respect your privacy. Under Section 72A of the IT Act, 2000, we guarantee that:

  • We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data or phone numbers with any third-party advertisers or commercial entities.
  • Billing details, ledger entries, and payment records of societies are kept strictly private and accessible only to members of that specific society.

4. Session Cookies

We use minimal session cookies essential for keeping you logged into your dashboard, tracking active society selection, and maintaining secure CSRF tokens. Disabling cookies will prevent the application from functioning correctly.
